Body Glove sponsor of the Portuguese National championships Surfing

Porto - The weekend of the 9th till the 11th of May, Body Glove sponsored the "Porto Open". This was the First contest of the Portuguese National Championships Surfing. Men and woman competed in the water to win, at the beach of Matoshinos, just above Porto. A beautiful, central location with great weather and reasonable surfing-conditions.

Body Glove had their very own "riders" tent" where all competitors could change or leave their boards and wetsuits. Because of the strong winds it was an ideal spot for contestants to watch the rest of the contest, wind free, it was literally: "Body Glove; Protect the Core".

Apart from our own tent, the boulevard was also equipped with lots of Body Glove beach-wings, banners and lots more black and yellow flags. On Saturday there was the "Body Glove Expression Session", a sub-contest where surfers could win a prize for best surf action. We got a lot of exposure due to the photographers on location and national television. With support from Luis Lirio from our PCS office in Portugal, we showed them all that Body Glove is back in Europe!
