Bob Meistrell, co-inventor of the modern wetsuit, co-founder and owner of Body Glove and living legend, will officially open the Dutch Surf Experience. This event will take place on the beach of "Ter Heijde"

Bob and his in 2006 diseased brother are recognized as pioneers in the dive and surf sport. Ever since their youth water and water sports has played an important role in their lives. At a young age they moved from Missouri to Los Angeles, on the West Coast of California. The became lifeguards and part of the first group of official dive instructors in the world.

The brothers passion for water sports combined with innovation resulted in the development of the first wetsuits and the start of the company called Body Glove in 1953.

The wetsuit creates the possibility to surf and dive even when the water temperatures are low. Surfer in the Netherlands need a wetsuit almost the whole year round. Body Glove is one of the best recognized and a real authentic water sports brands. The products are sold in more then 50 countries. Bob Meistrell still plays an active roll in the company.

Dutch Surf Experience has been located on the Dutch coastline for the past 7 years. From the start of this summer season they will have an official location in co-operation with the trendy beachclub Jamm Beach. Dutch Surf Experience has developed an unique and accessible program for the novice surfer. From the pool to the Northsea to the eventual surf holidays at the French Atlantic coast.

During the whole summer season there will be regular surf lessons taught at "Ter Heijde" due to the opening of the new location. The youth plays an important role in these activities. "The Dutch and especially the youth exercise too little. Our goals is to introduce the local kids to this beautiful and fun sport. Especially for primary schools, high schools and after school activities we have developed customized and affordable deals and packages. Our instructors are qualified, certified and experienced. The materials we use are safe and especially designed for surf classes. We are ready! It is an enormous honour and recognition that Bob Meistrell will come to "Ter Heijde" to officially open the Dutch Surf Experience" according to Rene Dekker, founder and owner.
